poetsara asked: Oh shoot, I was always meaning to message you about live versions of "Sara" (there is a post somewhere on my blog, but the video no longer works because YouTube deleted it—bastards) but I never got around to it—and now the blog's over! Anyway, as you can probably deduce from my tumblr name, "Sara" is a pretty big deal to me, so I really enjoyed seeing what you...
littlemoonblue asked: Aw well this is kind of sad, but I can understand you moving on. Are you going to delete this blog/the posts? I truly hope not, because I love going through and listening to the many versions of Sara... please keep this around for awhile! Looking forward to your new blog...
Anonymous asked: This is probably my favorite tumblr account, it's wonderful. I'm so glad you decided to do this and I'll miss seeing it on my dash. Xo

funnylittledancer asked: Me again! Last thing. I feel like I'm being annoying now. lol I was watching Lindsey's DVD where he performed "Castaway Dreams" which I believe is totally about Stevie. And it has the line "it would do no good to drown in the sea, where no one remembers your name and nothing but nothing is free. I just wanted to say this fits perfectly with your interpretation of that...
funnylittledancer asked: Ok. One more thing. Just a general comment about the live performances of Sara. This may be over thinking it. But the change "it's never gone, it always matters what for", strikes me as something that may be significant. But I've always thought that the consistency in which she uses that line means that it might have been meant to be in the song; but after it was recorded....
funnylittledancer asked: I know I am a little late but I just wanted to say thank you so much for this blog. It has been a pleasure reading your thoughts on the song being exposed to new theories as for the origin of the song. I just read the interpretations now and they were incredible. So well thought out and a treat to read. I am really looking forward to the new blog and to see what that brings! Thank you again for...
Anonymous asked: The version of Sara that you posted from Richfield, OH in 1979 could this be an example of Lindsey raising the tempo to annoy Stevie? I remember reading this in a rolling stone article or something like that ages ago. Can't remember whether if it was this tour or the Rumours tour that this happened though. Your thoughts?

blodeuwed asked: Thank you so much for this account!
colchakthenightstalker asked: Kicking myself for being so terribly late to the Tumblr party since I have missed out on this epicly wonderful blog! Though I certainly plan on making up for lost time. Just started getting into "Sara" and I am enjoying everything that I have read/listened to so far. "Rhiannon" has always been one of my faves to dig into and take apart, so it is totally kickass seeing you...
controlledweirdness asked: thank you for this blog. just.. thank you. i'm so sad that it's coming to an end :( i enjoyed it and looked forward to your posts every day and i'll miss it. now let's look forward to the upcoming tour and hope sara is on the setlist! :)
poet-in-my-heart asked: I wish that Stevie had an awareness of this blog. I think that she would be impressed. 1 song for 1 year - you've done such an amazing job. Looking forward to seeing what the new year brings with your new blog x
memoriesearthquakesandflashes asked: I just want to tell you that I've enjoyed this blog so much over the past year. Sara has always been, and will always be, my favorite Mac song--nothing can ever touch it. Thank you for all the time and effort you've put into this blog and your interpretation of "Sara." It's little things like this that make me love being apart of the fandom. Analyzing Stevie's songs...

girlboymusic asked: Oh and: I've also always thought of fire as having meaning desire in those lines as well -- especially fire is a shorthand for attraction in a lot of Stevie's songs. Which is another reason why I've always read them as being from someone still in the middle of an affair -- now that she's in it, she's realizing she's consumed by it, and she doesn't know if she can...

girlboymusic asked: I never thought of the "said you'd give me light / but you never told me 'bout the fire" lines as break-up lines -- to me it always meant that this person promised her something warm and lovely, but now she's realizing that with that warmth comes the danger of getting burned. Which sounds to me like someone still in the middle of an affair, and which is why I always...
resplendent-quatopygia asked: I find it rather admirable that you've completed what you set out to do.

I am such an idiot
I didn’t realise that the 10MB audio upload limit was PER DAY. So now it’s gonna take me four more days to upload the audio files that I want to make sure are on here before I put it to bed.
I’m deciding to find this funny.

moonsiren asked: I'm really enjoying these posts. Every time I think I see something you've missed, you address it in the next post! I'd also say that I always think of Mick when I hear the "Said you'd give me light/but you never told me 'bout the fire" lyric, although I don't think you're wrong about it being a reference to the end of her affair with Don, either. I...

HAPPY HOGMANAY!
I’m sure I must have mentioned before that I AM SCOTTISH. And, well, it’s presently 20 past 4 on the afternoon of one of our biggest party nights of the year so that - combined with the fact that I’ve had about three hours sleep in the past day and a half - means that I’m going to have to finish this properly tomorrow - including replying to your lovely messages and...

Interpretation
Sorry it’s so long. Maybe some of you will put some of it aside to read later? I hope so. I’d like to know what you think I’ve got wrong or missed completely.
I’ve got few more posts to do later today and then - oh my God - it’s finished. Can’t believe it.

Hi, poet-in-my-heart
Thanks for your message under yesterday’s post. It was very sweet of you. I’m going to try and set up another Stevie/FM blog in the next few days and will post details when I have them.

Haha, I just noticed my day numbers are wrong!
I’m out by (I think) two days!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA.
Today should be Day 355 but I had yesterday down as Day 352.
So I’ll have to go back and find out where it went wrong. Which is fine, because I’ve got loads of time and am not at all wigging out about not getting my interpretation posted.
